| As a member of TV art family, TV tourism program, like many other TV programs, has experienced a development process from simplicity to diversity and naiveness to maturity.The form, content and artistic level of China’s TV tourism program have obtained a rapid development since1978when the first China TV tourism programs--All Around China--was launched. In one hand, as a carrier of tourism information, TV tourism program has a vital influence on the development of tourism. The program not only affects the travel choice, vehicle choice and consumption habit of the visitors, but also plays an important role in the development of tourism;In the other hand, as a special type of TV art program, it plays the function of transmission of social history and knowledge of humanities, and the communication of culture and emotion through presenting rich knowledge on geography, culture, customs, history and local products.So it forms the unique artistic charm of TV tourism program different from many other TV program types.Searching the tourism programs in Provincial Satellite TV Station, however, we can hardly spot the impressive program which forms its own travel brand or has a good audience rating. What is worse, some TV tourism programs even have lower ratings than that in the previous years. China’s TV tourism program is facing several problems, such as homogenization, separating from the travel market, lacking for the brand. Pressed by the difficult environment and challenges, the TV tourism program across the Straits has been revealed to the audience according to the requirement of times, bringing new vitality.This paper aims to study the general situation and development status of both TV tourism programs and joint TV tourism programs between the TV stations in Mainland China and Taiwan, thereby finding out their differences and advantages by comparing with other TV tourism programs. Through the analysis of some individual cases, it indicates that this kind of joint TV tourism program between two parties plays an enlightening role in the future development of Chinese TV tourism programs. It also contributes to the improvement of the artistic level and cultural connotation of TV tourism programs in China. |
