| The issue of peasants is a hot point, and also a difficult problem. Now, many scholars are carrying on deep research on it, especially the investigations. Generally speaking, the main concentrations of these researches are on lightening the burden of peasants, the villagers' autonomy and etc. However, the research on peasants and media is relatively less. In recent years, with the function of agriculture television in "prospering the agriculture with science and education" prominent day by day, the Rural Science and Educational TV Programs came on stage with glittering appearance, and became a new focus generally concerned hi the TV field. In view of this, this article analyzes the successful experience and problems of the Agricultural Television and do some tries and probing thinking, so as to offer some reference to the development of thinking and practice of creation of Rural Science and Educational TV Programs through analyzing the first-hand investigation report of the Rural Science and Educational TV Program, with a clue of physical and mental distance between science and peasants.The article totally includes two parts: time characteristics and research on artistic skills.Part I , analysis on characteristics of the Rural Science and Educational TV Program.This part is an investigation report, mainly consists of analysis of investigation, misplacing and counterplan. It directly analyzes current situation of rating for Rural Science and Educational TV Program. Based on the result of investigation, it also does some probing research on the misplacing between Rural Science and Educational TV Program and peasants. In the end, it is the analysis of counterplan and research on the focal, doubtful and difficult question. The following will describe main content of them separately.a ) Analysis of investigation. Although the data is nonfigurative, information in data is very vivid. The census data shows that television is the most important way for peasants to obtain external information. Under era background that changes sharply, the peasants eagerly need scientific and technological information, but they hold a conservative attitude for scientific and technological information spreading through TV. Standing on their ground, their demands on Rural Science and Educational TV Program is increasing rapidly. First, they hope eagerly to be able to see the programs. Second, they require agriculture programs more practical, more popular and more interesting. Third, they hope the agriculture program is related to them. Furthermore, they hope to express themselves in the program.B ) Analysis of displacing. There is no doubt that peasants need science and technology, and the Rural Science and Educational TV Program also pledges its efforts to adapt to them. However, partitioned by the screen, there still exists some displacing between agriculture program and peasants. From the creative guidance to the contents of the programand then styles, the physical and mental distance between agriculture program and peasants is still far. Above all, taking analysis of investigation into a comprehensive consideration, agriculture program should put emphasis on how to increase rating, and strive for spreading the science spirits, which cannot avoid scientific utility. The key of solutions for above problems is to extend the covering field of the program and enhance the aiming and affinity of the program.C ) Analysis of counterplan. Due to the covering of agriculture program relates closely to physical distance between agriculture program and peasants, while the affinity directs to their mental distance, the problem that how to improve audience rating of agriculture program must take the two aspects into account.
