With the computer science and technology development and wide application, the amount of data generated in meny disciplines were rapidly increasing. In order to find valuable knowledge from the data, data mining methods were been used to solve this problem. The application for association rule mining was an important research topic in the field of data mining. Association Rule Mining is a method which is used to process huge amount of data to discover valuable relationships among data items. Such method can find implicit, unknown, and potential valuable knowledge which user might be interested in. In this paper, this is what we did:based on the study of the Apriori algorithm we improved it, applied the Apriori algorithm to the study of drug interactions.Apriori algorithm is the earliest in association rule mining, which is the most classical algorithms. It has a simple idea, but there are two factors which influence the operation efficiency, one is the demand of repeated scanning databsed in the process of implementation, the other is a large number of candidate itemsets which are generated. Starting from the date of birth of Apriori algorithm, there are a lot of experts and scholars at home and abroad hope to improve the algorithm. And most of the the idea of improvement is to reduce the number of scanning database, this aspect research has been very mature. In this paper, we transformed the idea, which based on the capacity of the database to improve the algorithm. Association rule mining has a very wide range of applications, but either way in the field of data is huge. Improved algorithm in this paper, by reducing the number of scanning database transactions when mining, to improve the efficiency of the Apriori algorithm and we verified the improved algorithm by experiments.Association rule mining has a very wide range of applications, including medical science field. In this paper, the second research content is the Apriori algorithm’s application in drug interaction studies. Drug interaction refers to the joint application of more than two drugs, one of the drugs in pharmacy, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interferenced due to the existence of the other drugs. Drug prevent study of drug interaction are mostly aimed at one kind of drug by medicine experts and scholars, as well as the comprehensive to the research results. This article is on the basis of previous studies, using the result of their research, by means of association rules mining, to explore the laws of drug interactions.Currently cardiovascular disease is still the leading cause which is harm to human health, so this article chose the cardiovascular system drugs to research, using association rules mining. Data preprocessing process and association rule mining are given a detailed introduction, and illustrate the results of excavation.
