Research And Application Of Apriori Mining Algorithm Based On Association Rules In Colleges Management System

Data mining is a new technology which appears for the development tidal of theinformation world in recent years.It draws valuable information from the magnanimousdata of the information world for the humanity. The association rules of data miningtechnology is a method which can be used to discover such connection from huge realdata through the computer automatically. In the data mining technology, the Apriorialgorithm is regarded as the most classical method. The iteration searching is used tofind relationship of items and form rules. This algorithm has been widely used inbusiness and financial areas.So far, the data mining technology is not widely used in the management of highschool, especially for the management of student performance management, but theprocessing of these data still remain in the primary data backup, query and simplestatistical stage and not analysis in-depth for a lot of performance data to help captureinformation on the work of teaching. This is a waste of resources for teachinginformation. Data mining technology provides feasible and effective method to solvethis problem.In this thesis, we first thoroughly investigate the mining algorithm of Aprioriassociation rules, and implement the algorithm by Matlab. To avoid the blind search inthe process of mining and enhance the search efficiency in the collection of frequentitem, we investigate the improvement of Apriori algorithm. Then, we use the algorithmfor mining on data collection of the students’ scores of the college of computer in a highschool, and achieve good performance. The results show the associations of the scoresbetween courses, and the impact of the sequence of courses on scores. These results canbe used for reference and instruction for better works including training schemes andeducational reform.
