Traditional file cabinets generally are adopted with manual operation and the storage density of cabinets is low, so the file management requires lots of manpower and material. With immense growing of archives information, traditional file cabinets cannot meet the actual needs both in storage method and management pattern. Development of file management control system using new technique has become a hot area of research in file management.This thesis presents an embedded intelligent control management system of rotary file cabinet suitable for dense storage. The system consists of two parts:local embedded control sub-system and remote control sub-system. The former part includes communication and human-machine interface module and control module. The communication and man-machine interface module is used in controlling touch screen and remote communication. The control module is used in controlling automatic doors of cabinets and safety light curtains, and it is also used in achieving automatic orientation and layer shift. The remote control sub-system consists of PC, CAN converters, CAN nodes, wireless RF remote and local wireless module. Also the strong electric circuit of the file cabinet control system is designed.The embedded file control management system combining both manual and automatic control function, which is accomplished operations such as layer shift and door opening and closing accurately. It can also be achieved the remote control of files’querying, borrowing and returning using network, which is realized intelligent and networked file management.The main innovations of this thesis are as following:(1) To present an algorithm of layer orientation with clear cumulative error function.(2) To optimize algorithm of the automatic moving layer function, which makes file cabinets can always run from the current operation to the target layer in the best path.(3) Solve key-confusion problem of the touch screen by devising a median algorithm based on limits maximum absolute error.(4) Devise the safety light curtains based on narrow pulse conditioning and optical path synchronous identification. (5) To use the same communication protocol in CAN bus communication and wireless RF communication, so as to making software of systerm simple.Results of both experimental testing and practical adjustment show that the file control management system presented in this thesis can achieve the expected functions. It runs stably and can be operated conveniently. The system can meet the need of practical application.
