Study And Realization About A Radar Calibration Method Of RCS By Calibrated Satellite

This paper first introduced the use of satellite radar calibration of RCS researchbackground, the research in the United States and Russia two space power developmentand use, as well as the development of our country and use dynamic, in the thoroughresearch radar RCS measurement theory principle and specific algorithm, usingstandard aluminium ball used RCS calibration method and means, on the basis of theuse of standard from aluminum ball when calibration carrying balloon influence RCSaccuracy in calibration, the calibration ball in the centimeter wave radar in oscillationarea, fly ball means to meet the far field calibration condition and calibration ballcalibration project operation difficulty and so on four aspects analyzes the traditionaluse of calibration ball RCS calibration method defects, but also analyzes the currentinternational popular several other calibration method. The feasibility of using RCScalibration satellites is analyzed based on the C wave band radar、the L wave band radarand the X wave band radar implementation of RCS calibration. Then, a comparisonresult of the two methods is given with the fact that the new method can be used forcalibration of RCS, and a high accuracy is acquired. The insufficiency of calibration toreceiver working with a weak signal by traditional way is also solved. Finally, theappendix gives a description of calibration satellites used by US and Russia as well asthe source code to achieve the calibration.
