Software radio is a new concept of radio communication, which is considered asmajor technological progress and development direction in the field of wirelesscommunications following analog communication technology and digitalcommunication technology. Along with the rapid development of wirelesscommunication, Software Defined Radio has played an increasingly important role inthe field of military and civilian.USDR is a universal Software Defined Radio platform, which is based the theCPCI architecture. The platform consists of a baseband processor board and RF board.The platform is equipped with a DSP and FPGA signal processing devices. At the sametime, it provides dual-core processor P2020for operation and maintenance of thesystem.After USDR board has been put into use, it has provided a great convenience forusers with excellent high-speed signal processing capabilities. However, it also exposedthe inconvenience during operation. Non-embedded developers will encounter manydifficulties in the course of operation and management with USDR, because of thelackness of experience in building the development environment. Therefore, this articlehas studied the key technologies of the operation and management based on USDRplatform, which aims to provide convenience and support for users during operating andmanaging the USDR platform.Firstly, this article has studied and analysed the key technologies of operations andmanagement based on SDR platform. It describes the main research points and technicaldifficulties. Secondly, this paper has completed the overall design of the whole systemof operations and management. It has proposed major application scenarios and givenan analysis of the functional requirements of the system. This thesis has blueprinted theoverall architecture of the software system. The whole system is divided into embeddedunderlying, the PCI driver layer, and application layer.Thirdly, according to the overall design, this paper has finally implemented thewhole system of operations and management. It has built an embedded underlying environment. This paper has completed interface design of the PCI driver layer. It hascompleted the design of program of the client and server in the application layer. ThePC client provided a simple, beautiful interfaceas for the user to operate and manage theUSDR platform conveniently. Meanwhile, the USDR server made response to thecommand from the client and completed the final operation. Finally, key functions ofthe whole system of operations and management have been carried out. The resultsreveal that every function of the system is normal and complete.This thesis has studied the key technologies of the operation and managementbased on SDR platform. Meanwhile, this paper has provided an effective operation andmanagement system based the USDR platform. Through this system, the users canimplement an effective operation and management with DSP, FPGA, FMC or othermain chips on the USDR platform.This paper solves the problem of operation andmanagement of SDR platform and has good practical and commercial value.
