Phased array radar velocity agile capabilities enable it to simultaneouslyaccomplish multiple tasks such as search and tracking. In order to improve the systemperformance of actual work, resource management strategies must be selected rationallydue to the limited nature of system resources and the dynamic nature of the targetenvironment. The strategies need to synthetically consider the dynamic systemcomposed of radar and the target environment to achieve overall optimization of radarresource management, allocation and task scheduling. In this thesis, the radar task management techniques, containing the task planning, task prioritization and the adaptive dwells scheduling algorithm, are studied. The mainattributions are as follows:1. Radar task planning based on information theory is researched.1)The resource allocation method, based on the maximum information increment, can easily lead to a waste of resources due to the method just considering the mobilitycharacteristics of the target and ignoring the difference of the target tracking accuracy. To solve this problem, a method of the multi-target task planning based on informationincrement and covariance is proposed. This method takes into account the mobilitycharacteristics and the tracking accuracy differences of the target. With this method, theradar can track the specific targets according to their expected tracking precisions, andtrack other targets according to their mobility. The simulation results show that thealgorithm is a more appropriate and flexible resource allocation strategies in modernradar dynamic battlefield environment.2)For the more complex issues of waveform design based on information theory inthe, a sub waveform design method in clutter environment is researched. It makes use ofsome priori information, such as the target spectrum variance, the noise spectrumvariance and the clutter spectrum variance, to design a suboptimal transmittedwaveform. Meanwhile, this paper gives clutter intensity and emission energy for theimpact of interactive information, and gives the relationship between the energydistribution of the suboptimal transmit waveform and the target spectrum variance, the clutter spectrum variance and emitted energy relationships, respectively.2. The priority assignment is researched. According to the expert knowledge andprior information related to the target and environment, a method of searching andtracking task priority assignment based on arrangement-benefit method is studied, andthe best and overall assignment of intelligent task priority is implemented. Meanwhile, the assignment rules of task relative priority are studied. The simulation results show theinfluences of these rules for the schedule.3. The traditional dwells scheduling algorithm is based on a relatively simplemathematical model, without considering the complete radar resource constraints. Tosolve this problem, the Adaptive Dwell Scheduling Algorithm for Phased Array Radarwith Waveform Parameters and Timer Pointer-based Phased Array Radar On-line PulseInterleaving Algorithm is given. The two Algorithms takes waveform parameters toestablish online pulse interleaving model satisfied the time resource constraints and theenergy resource constraints. In comparison with the existed scheduling algorithms, thesetwo algorithms can effectively reduce the task loss rate and improve radar resourceutilization.4. Radar task management integrated simulation system is designed. Thesubsystems are analyzed and designed in detail. The simulation system is implementedin MALTAB GUI integrated development environment.
