At present, the domestic metallurgical industry due to excess production capacity,weak market demand, product inventory higher, most of the iron and steel enterprisesface losses. In order to reduce the cost, Sha-steel plans to revamp the slab hot chargingsystem of the1700mm hot stip mill in headquarters, to improve the productivity, reducethe product cost, and enhance competitiveness.In this thesis, mainly describes the development of the control and informationsystem for slab charging of1700mm HSM, mainly including the following items:(1)Development the continiuous casting slab control system. Slab control system includesslab temperature model and whole process simulation software package. Developmentslab temperature model mainly include:Development the mathematical model ofcontinuous casting slab cooling process, covering cooling process in crystallizer andsecond cooling zone and during the roller table transportation;Development themathematical model of continuous casting slab heat preservation process (heatpreservation in pit), focus on researching and determining the relation between the rollertable cooling time, heat preservation time and temperature of the slab which will becharged into the reheating furnace; Development the mathematical model of slabheating in the furnace, this model is the core to realize slab hot charging process, it isthe key model of realizing the slab temperature dynamic tracking, slab charging modeoptimization, slab heating process dynamic optimization, rolling process optimization,hot and cold mixed charging/specification mixed/steel grade mixed optimizationcontrol, slab rolling temperature feedback function. Development the whole processsimulation software package, comprehensive considering slab cooling, heat preservation,heating process mathematical model, use VB to development the simulation systemsoftware package “Casting'heating preservation'heating and rolling mathematicalmodel”.(2) Development the continiuous casting slab information system namedShagang fist steelmaking and rolling MES system (Manufacturing Execution System).Use this system to implement customer orders generation production planning, dynamicproduction scheduling and products real-time management. Through the system development, finally build up "Shagang1700mm hot rollingproduction line slab hot charging and rolling process on-line computer control system",form the integrated control system including continuous casting slab logistics, energyflow and information flow.
