Online Course Resource Management System Based On J2EE Technology

With the rapid development of Internet and the network popularization, manyuniversities have built modern hardware facilities, but the relevant software resource isextremely limited. Therefore, we develop an online course resource management systembased on J2EE to build the software system compatible with the hardware in FenyangCollege of Shanxi Medical University. Through the process, information service of theteaching process can be achieved. B/S architecture is used in the system which containssix functional modules: main control, landing control, system management, curriculummanagement, forum management, online examination etc. The main tasks and resultsare as follows:1. Network navigation. According to the characteristics of online courses and theguidance of the users’ needs, we build the navigation system with the characteristics ofthe system. For example, it provides the link to the front pages and back pages in thepage organization. For some important information, it provides the direct landing pageby public announcement etc with navigation point. We can just click on the hyperlinknavigation, and then the webpage is accessed. The information navigation in every pagecan help readers find the resources needed quickly through the resource query.2. Resource integration. Integration of teaching resources needs sustainable growth ofsupportive resources. In order to continually provide high-quality resources for teachersand students and promote resource accumulation, we integrate the teaching resources,such as school curriculum, school characteristic resources, and other resources toachieve optimal system.3. User interaction. On the basis of database and dynamic webpage technology, thesystem revolves the curriculum to make the information resources, such as curriculumsyllabus, course introduction, teaching arrangement, teaching, experiment table,learning resources (multimedia, courseware, literature, students’ homework) etc.published, browsed, queried and updated. In addition, teachers and students can interactwith each other through online messages, communication and other forms.Online course resource management system based on J2EE technology has the advantages of simple operation and stable running. In the process of trial operation, theteachers and students generally reflect good effect. It will play a certain role in collegenetwork curriculum resources construction. However, it still needs to be improvedgradually in the interface design, safety performance and some function modules.
