In today’s highly competitive society, with the development of communicationtechnology, the rapid change of Electric Power System requirements, as well as anumber of new business generation, the existing Electric Power System networktechnology and application of operators is put forward new challenges. While thetraditional access equipment, such as PDH, optical transceiver, protocol converters etcand network scheme have some problems, that are single technology, the adaptivecapacity of network isn’t enough, high cost of operation and maintenance, themanagement function is not complete, it has been unable to adapt to the newcommunication conditions change. Therefore, the access layer equipments and solutionsproposed are put forward some new requirements by the construction and developmentof local communication network. In view of the above questions, we put forward theconcept of integrated access devices, on the basis of EOS, which unite voice, serialinterface and other communication business, through the different business moduleprovide comprehensive access method for the user, and construct a flexible accessnetwork to all the business, realize unified management of the local networks accesslayer further.There are two core technologies for this integrated access devices, one is the EOStechnology, and the other is multi-service cross technology. This paper did thefollowing several designs and researches to the multi-service cross module.1. The designs of the add E1signal’s transmitted and received, it includes the framerheader’s transmitted and received, CRC and signaling bit.2. The designs of the drop E&M signal transmit and receive, it includes voice data andsignaling transmitted and received.3. The designs of the drop FXS and FXO signal transmitt and receive, it includes voicedata and signaling transmitted and received.4. The design of the drop RS232serial data signal’s transmitt and receive,it includessignals sampling and data’s transmitt and receive.This design was programmed in VHDL language by Quartuss II, which is process various service signals comprehensively, code the E1signal, sent to the network, inupstream signal; in downstream signal, decode the E1signal, restore out all kinds ofvarious service signals and receive.
