Identity authentication technology has wide application in people’s life, but with thedevelopment of science and technology, the traditional identity authenticationtechnology has been restricted for the security, the application of biological recognitiontechnology has sprung up. Biological recognition technology includes: fingerprintidentification technology, iris recognition technology, face recognition, palmprintrecognition, etc. Comparing with the traditional identity recognition technologybiological recognition technology is not easy to loss and theft, difficult to replicated,and with higher safety. Because fingerprint identification technology is easy to collect,easy to be accepted, the development is very rapid. There are many fingerprint productson the market. The embedded fingerprint recognition devices are in a large market spacefor its small volume, speed and other characteristics.Using ADI company’s Blackfin series DSP chip, this paper designed an embeddedfingerprint identification system. Its main functions include: fingerprint collection,fingerprint identification, image display and communication with a PC, etc. After thesystem hardware design, driver development, fingerprint identification algorithmtransplantation and optimization, etc, this system can complete the fingerprintidentification tasks quickly and efficiently. At the same time, this system has smallvolume, low power consumption, strong scalability characteristics.In this paper, the main work content is as follows:(1) Design the system’s architecture of the embedded fingerprint identificationsystem. This system uses ADSP-BF512processor as the core of DSP processor, thesystem power supply design, collocation of fingerprint sensor interface, LCD interface,memory interface, and other peripheral interface UART interface.(2) Complete the circuit diagram and PCB drawing, production and debugging. Andwrite peripheral interface driver, mainly including: fingerprint acquisition driver, LCDdisplay driver, UART serial port driver, etc., provide functional interface for theapplication.(3) Design the process task of fingerprint identification system. The system can accomplish fingerprint collection, registration, matching task. And according to thecollected fingerprint images, the image processing algorithms need to be changed.(4) Optimit and test the whole system, on the premise of guaranting the normalwork of the system. System optimization includes: C optimization, storage optimization,floating point optimization and so on. After optimization, make the system can satisfythe real-time requirement, and can satisfy the high recognition rate requirement. Aftersystem transplantation, test the time performance and the algorithm performance of thesystem.
