As an important way to detect and identify the target temperature, infrared imaging technology has been widely applied in military field in recent years. Great achievements made in the manufacturing of uncooled microbolo-meter infrared focal plane arrays has improved infrared imaging system to be of smaller size, lighter weight and lower price, which push its applications in the civilian fields of electric power, construction, fire control, medical, chemical, and others, so the study of infrared imaging system for portable uncooled infrared technology is of importantly guiding significance.The development, the classification and the applications of uncooled infrared imaging technology were introduced in this dissertation. The UL03041uncooled infrared detector principle and interface parameters were reviewed. A portable infrared thermal imaging system was designed based on FPGA+ARM, of which FPGA is used for detector driving and infrared image data acquisition, ARM processor is used to process the infrared image data. And the peripheral circuits of the system were designed as well. According to the working conditions of UL03041, a sequential circuit was designed by means of ALTERA EP3C25U256C7N FPGA to provide UL03041with clock driving signal. A DC bias circuit and a temperature control circuit designed by ADN8831were used to the uncooled infrared array. Influenced by the driving signal, UL03041converts the infrared radiation signal to analog voltage signal output, then convert to digital signal by a14a high-speed parallel AD converter AD9240, and then the digital signal is buffered into the FPGA through FIFO. ARM adopts an embedded system with S3C6410as its core processor. An ARM backboard was realited according to the processor function modules including power management circuit, video audio decoding, SD storage card, USB devices, LCD display.
