Compared with asynchronous motor, PMSM has the advantage of high power density,fast response speed and energy saving. PMSM’s magnetic field is created by permanentmagnet instead of magnet winding, which may decrease the volume of motor. Without slipratio, PMSM is easier to control. PMSM speed control system in small and medium sizepower is playing an important role in the world. With the development of high-performanceMCU, power electronic and advanced control theory, provide development conduction forhigh-performance speed regulation system base on PMSM.The research target of this paper is permanent magnet synchronous elevator tractor. It’smainly applied in low speed and high torque situation. This paper has researched anddesigned the elevator control system base on PMSM, to satisfy the performance requires ofelevator system.This paper firstly introduces the classification and structure characteristics of PMSM andthe research status all over the world. Analysis the mathematical model of PMSM, choosefield-oriented control strategy as the control strategy of this system. Then build the diagram ofthe control system. Mathematical deduce motor parameters and rotor initial positionidentification, deadband compensation and over-modulation strategy are also discussed. In thethird chapter, the main power driver circuit and the control circuit is designed surrounding theTI Company’s DSP, TMS320F2803x series. Chapter four gives the algorithm flow of rotorinitial position identification, over-modulation and subdivision of cosine encoder signal. Thefinal chapter proves that the designed control system meets the demand of elevator runningcharacteristics and performance of the system has good riding comfort via simulation andactual experiments.
