Permanent synchronous motor (PMSM) has been more and more used in industry,agriculture, and daily life, such as Washing Machine and Electric Vehicles (EV),probably due to its merits of simple structure, small volume, high power density,,hightorque density, and with great control performance.The rotor position and speed information of PMSM must be rightly andaccurately detect in the motion control. However, it’s usually gained by the use ofmechanical sensor, and it’s provided there are many shortcomings in the area of themachine size, the overall cost, maintenance, the complex of the control system withthe connection of cable in the PMSM, as well as the deterioration of the drive system.Therefore, many scientific research personnel do a lot of research on how to run thePMSM without mechanical sensors, speed and position sensorless control (sensorlesscontrol for short in this thesis) method of PMSM is strongly desired in manyapplications and it has become an extensive research of present academia andindustrial community.The thesis takes the high frequency signal injection PMSM sensorless vectorcontrol as research emphasis, special research and analysis is focused on the rotorposition and speed estimation in the whole speed range, including low speed. In thethesis, research contents include as follows:First, the thesis detailed descriptionintroduces the development of PMSM withposition/speed sensorless and veviews on research status at home and abroad.Through the summarization and comparison of various sensorless control methods,the high frequency signal injection method is planned to be used as the researchmethod in the thesis.Secondly, the thesis describes in detail the PMSM basic structure and themathematical model of PMSM in the dqrotating coordinate system, with acomparison among four vector control method of PMSM, thei d0control methodis taken as the research method in the thesis.According to basic principle of high frequency signal injection, two mainmethods of high frequency signal injection vector control are analyzed and comparedin the thesis, and then based on their own features and applicability’s, the highfrequency pulsating injection is used to make simulation and experimental study. The simulation of SPMSM with high frequency pulsating injection is carried outin MATLAB/Simulink, and the results of experiments are given with id0vectorcontrol method. After simulation, the hardware platform of SPMSM sensorless vectorcontrol system with high frequency pulsating injection is put up, and softwarealgorithm control in CCS V3.3is implemented.Finally, the research works in the thesis are summarized, and the prospect isgiven to further improve the system’s control performance.
