With the rapid development of the advanced technology in the information society andthe growing demands for digital products, a number of digital signal processing relatedapplication are becoming more and more popular. Digital signal processing has penetratedinto the scientific research, industrial production, health care, communications, nationaldefense, national economy and other fields. With the trend that the digital signal processingsystem moves toward more refined and more complicated, in the designing period of complexdigital signal processing systems, modeling and simulation for these systems, as well asimplementation on the specific hardware environment (such as PC, DSP, MCU) are alwaystough problems. Therefore, to find a fast and efficient way of modeling, simulation andrealization for these systems is very necessary.For modeling, simulation, and realization of the complex digital systems, it is traditionalto do the simulated verification with special simulation platform. Moreover, theimplementation on hardware requires programming by hands. It not simply requires thedesigner to have a fully understanding of the algorithms and the hardware platform, but alsoneeds a good performance in programming. Besides, this method is highly time-consumingfor the designers and the designing period can be very long.Stateflow is a graphical design and development tool integrated in the MATLABsimulation environment, mainly used for modeling a system with complex control logic.Real-Time Workshop (RTW) is a supplementary function module of MATLAB graphicalmodeling and simulation environment Simulink, a environment can generate code forsimulink model automatically. This thesis is a research on modeling, simulation andrealization of complex digital system. It’s about a modeling and simulation method based onthe model that combined the Stateflow logical modeling mechanism and Simulink simulationenvironment. This method is applied on the two-dimension cursor control system of thebrain-computer interface, and through combinating Simulink’s code generation toolsReal-Time Workshop and Stateflow Coder generated executable code automatically to themodel and complete the realization of the system.
