With the development of electronic products, the application of embeddedsystem is more and more widespread. And it has increasingly powerful function.People pay more and more demand for the function and request of electronic products.The size of the control software and the logic system also increase. Some ofembedded system is based on complex logic control events. Using traditionaldevelopment methods on such system is time-consuming, laborious and cumbersometo maintain. So developers begin to think about a new development method thatdemands for this kind of software development. MATLAB introduced Simulink andStateflow tools which are based on system modeling. Stateflow is an integratedSimulink graphical design and development tool. Using Stateflow logic system todesign model can make the products greatly shorten the development cycle, and it isalso more convenient to maintenance.This paper first introduces model-based design process based on Simulink, finitestate machines, and then introduces a logic system modeling tool, as well as thedesign of the GUI user interface and its development environment. In the end, thepaper completes examples based on Stateflow.The air sterilizer project has a pre-made demand analysis according to customers.We use ST’s STM8S105S68-bit ultra-low-power chip as the master chip, to build themain control board of the hardware platform. Air sterilizer is controlled by remotecontrol, is equal to the incident response system or dynamic transformation system.Using Stateflow’s state flow to build the main state, the key state and the relay statediagram for the control system, the remote control part uses Simulink models andGUIDE to design remote control interface. In order to achieve the modeling work ofthe air sterilizer system, we do modeling and simulation of the event-driven system.Make the design more intuitive and simple and easy to maintain. And then we useReal-Time Workshop tool to generate the code. Finally, the paper has a summary andoutlook of the project.
