Nowadays, it's becoming a trend and the first choice to develop major control system software based on Simulink/Stateflow model design and combined with RTW (Real-Time Workshop) to generate target code automatically. Compared with traditional software developing methods, it contributes a lot to save the cost of human, material and financial resources, meanwhile, enhance the quality and security of software product. It changes the focus of developers from coding to model design.Some western countries already have this kind of platform for flight, aviation and spaceflight control system development. They already have well-developed control and design incorporate platforms. But it's still at the beginning stage in China to do some research in this field. So the major aim of this paper is to offer a whole technical proposal for this developing platform and excogitate some feasible ways to solve the difficult technical points.The research of this paper belongs to the pre-research part according to software engineering which focuses on the technical points and devotes attention to find out some breakthroughs. Some theories, such as debug and test, will be used in the whole research process and solve the technical problems. Finally, we integrate the solutions of these technical problems and propose a whole platform's useful and valuable technical solution. So the research is based on theories and combined with experiments. In short, it's a probing pre-research.The main research achievements are the analyzing results and technical solutions for each key technical issue and offer a feasible way to make this kind of platform. The experimental code and their steps are offered in detail in this paper. And you can develop your own product according to specific target conditions in virtue of the materials offered in the paper.According to the achievements and analyzing information in the paper, it won't be very difficult to simply realize this embedded software developing platform based on Simulink/Stateflow model design. All the solutions in the paper include model level's code cross debugging, model and code's test case generation, function test and coverage test and their consistency validation. Such sort of developing platform would save lots time of developers and testers. If it can be perfectly carried out, it'd be a great revolution to control system software developing.
