Weibo, it is also named micro blog. As a new network information media, weibo is increasingly becoming a platform for network users to exchange information, a means for Masses to achieve political participation and social supervision, a tool for Government departments and business units to convey policy message. The characteristics of interactive and effectiveness gives Weibo enormous influence. This paper is mainly to discusses Weibo’s influence for promoting social’s harmony and research Weibo’s effect on the building of a harmonious society.First of all, the first chapter of the thesis expounded the meaning of the topic, illustrated the role, and then carried out a detailed analysis on domestic and foreign microblogging research. Then introduced the main content of this thesis and the main research methods. All these are do a full preparation for the following study.Secondly, the second chapter cited throughout the views to expound the definition of Weibo, and described the producing and development history at home and abroad. Weibo’s basic and extended functions are enumerated. At the end of the second chapter, the causes of the real-name micro-blog system and practical significance are described in detail.Again, this paper started from the aspects of politics、law、economy、 socialist culture, accorded to Weibo’s characteristics and combined with examples, focuses on the analysis of the Weibo’s positive effect and negative adverse effects on promoting social harmony and building a harmonious socialist society, points out the characteristics of the widespread use of micro-blog has two sides effect. And pave the way for the next chapter recommendations put forward.At the end of this paper, corresponding suggestions has been put forward according to Weibo’s adverse effects, such as the political and ideological orientation, the news media’s specification, the formulation of related laws and regulations, the social culture lead. And analyze some of the current control measures, which pointed out where the problem lies, there is some guidance for the future launch of a comprehensive management approach.
