Data Access Technology Research And Implementation Of Delphi's Multi-database System

Database technology is the latest technology in today’s information management, with the deepening of information technology, more and more enterprises improve its information management requirements, but due to the financial, technical, and other reasons, the database shows a variety of patterns, different enterprises and institutions using different databases, even different departments of enterprises and institutions using different database, this give obstacles to the information management and exchange. With the rapid development of database technology and network technology, multi-database processing has also been widely used. Multi-database system meets the needs of today’s information systems applications and the management ideas and management methods of today’s business organization.This paper describes the current development of data access technology in multi-database. With the development of current information technology and the actual requirements of large-scale enterprise management platform, this paper analyzes the necessity and value of establishing a multi-database. It selects the appropriate development platform of multi-database management system from the reality. According to the characteristics of multi-database, the feasibility and advantages of the Delphi platform as the multi-database development platform are proposed.This paper analyzes the data access technology of multi-database,discusses the multi-database technology deeply and the Delphi language and its implementation techniques are introduced briefly; it introduces SQL Server2000, Firebird and Access database and analyzes of its features of supporting for multi-database. The development methodology and implementation process of multi-database in Delphi are introduced in detail.
