Along with the rapid development and application of computer network technologyand virtual assembly technology,Network Supported CAD Cooperative Designtechnology has become an important trend of the development about manufacturingindustry. The information technology industry is constantly stressed about the sharingand reuse of design resources. Through the advantage of the resources and informationfrom the Internet, The designers are also eager to browse the three-dimensional modelof dynamic online, to complete the virtual assembly, to exchange design ideas, todownload the assembly file, to complete the product design and manufacture rapidly,and to start the collaborative design. Therefore, it is very important to build the virtualassembly environment with network.This thesis use the results about domestic visualization technology and virtualassembly technology to complete the application and management on virtual assemblyof manufacturing mechanical parts with the network, as well as to achieve the dynamicbrowsing and collaborative design about three-dimensional model and assemblyanimation. The main contents and results as follows:Firstly, the status of visualization technology and virtual assembly applications athome and abroad are introduced. Meantime, according to the needs of enterprises, theoverall design about the system is built. And the functional structure of the system isdivided and designed with the system architecture of the B/S.Secondly, after studying the Java EE, MySQL, JDBC, Tomcat,etc. the virtualassembly platform about mechanical parts is established on Java EE, including thecreation of data table, the entry and storage of data source, the loading of assemblyanimation, establish a management system of mechanical parts in one virtual assemblynetwork for designers and users to achieve a set of CAD drawing file upload anddownload,3D model dynamic browsing, communicating online, informationmanagement.Thirdly, use CAD modeling software, VRML and Java3D technology to completethe production of animated virtual assembly, in JSP pages use the characteristics of JavaApplet can be embedded on a web page and the graphics, image processing capabilitiesof Java3D, with the system’s collaborative interactive features of mouse, users do notneed to install professional3D modeling software on the PC, to achieve the purpose ofdynamic browsing directly on a web page animation of3D models and virtual assembly...
