Research On The Internet Collaborative Design In Different Areas Based On VRML

In order to improve the level of products in TQCSE, this paper analyzes some new concept in modern methods of product development, and presents the concept of Internet-based Collaborative Design in different areas which is based on VRML. The architecture of the Internet-based Collaborative Design and the required key technologies are probed into in this paper. Further more, we deeply research several key technologies, such as the technology of product data modeling, the collaborative technology on network, the virtual reality technology, the cooperate environment, the virtual assembly and the assembly-checked. We set up the cooperate environment, which is the based platform of the Internet-based Collaborative Design. On this platform, we develop the virtual reality technology on Internet by using VRML (virtual reality modeling language) and JAVA. The cooperative environment based on Web provides the power support of cooperative design so that the assembly cooperative design of retarder based on VRML together with the assembly-checked of the axes and axletree can be established.
