As modern wirelss communication is developping quickly and wireless communication products are uesd widely, we have more demands for antennas which is an essential part for communication system, such as lighter, better performance, cheaper and smaller. In high frequency, loss in traditional antenna is very great; in low frequency, traditional antenna is too big for use. So, there are many limits for traditional antenna in modern wireless communication system and we hope an new antenna imminently. Dielectric resonator antenna’s size and dielectric loss are very small, there is no loss of surface wave in it, it can be designd to any shape, and feeding structure of it is simple. So, we pay more attention on it, and it is a research focus.In this paper, I introduce basic principles of antenna and dielectric resonator, and feeding structure and numerical calculation algorithm of dielectric resonator antenna at first. Based on the principles above, I will analyze three frequently-used dielectric resonator antennas including resonant frequency and qulity factor. Then, I will give three models designed by myself. The first one to use three small antennas to make up a big antenna; the second one is a conical antenna; and the third one is to compose a monopole and a dielectric resonator antenna. After analysis and optimazation, the three antenna get relative bandwidth of76%,86%and82%.
