The Design Of Radar Control And Display Terminal Based On DirectDraw

As an important part of the radar system, terminal acts as a crucial role in inter-action of people and computer, control of radar, indication of target, tactical operations and other tasks. The development of the radar technology indicating the increasing capacity of indication, digitization and generalization, aesthetics and practicality of human-machine interface as well. More attention is also paid to the remote control operation technology in order to protect the lives of combatants.In this paper, the author analysis the design and the implementation of radar terminal. He designs small, portable radar terminal using the ETX module compatible with PC. Basing on DirectDraw graph, he focus software design on the accelerated graphic display technology to achieve DirectDraw surface design and radar raw video display design; Achieved the integration display from the digital map and the PPI based on MapX and related coordinate transformation. At the same time, he carries out a network communication design to realize multi-terminal control through UDP and multicast of LAN, a design of radar data storage playback system to achieve real-time storage and playback. The software of Radar Control and Display Terminal running on the cut Window XP operating system is compatible with the desktop system, reducing dependence on hardware to improve the flexibility of radar terminal and application.By simulation testing and practical application, the design of radar control and display terminal based on DirectDraw is proved correct. The author provides us a new design idea for digital and generalized radar terminal.
