With the using of the modern information technology, electronic technology, and computer control technology in armed cars, many kinds of electronic application systems based on vehicle mobility platform have been invented. Operators of those armed cars urgently need a kind of easily operated, human oriented and powerful display and control terminal in armed cars, which can replace the traditional single-functional instruments and buttons, so that the operation complexity and wire-fitting difficulty of the armed cars can be decreased.The present dissertation is devoted to the development of vehicle display and control terminal in armed cars with higher integration level and independent intellectual property rights. After analyzing the current situation of the electronic system in armed cars and the developing trend of embedded technology in foreign countries, this dissertation proposes a holistic resolution based on the new embedded technology—SOPC technology.This dissertation first discusses principles of the vehicle display and control terminal in armed cars, and then compares and demonstrates in detail the designing and actualization scheme of the vehicle display and control terminal in armed cars. Finally, FPGA chip is chosen as the hardware developing platform for the project, and SOPC technology is used to conduct cooperative designing of software and hardware, so as to meet the demand of high performance processing and flexibility, and meet the goal to lower the cost. This system chooses EP2C20 chip of the Cyclone II device family of Altera as the main controller of the vehicle display and control terminal in armed cars. And this dissertation also proposes the circuit designing of the main function module.An important issue discussed in this dissertation is the designing of human-machine interface for this system, including the designing of touchscreen hardware and software, the designing of IP core of LCD controller, the designing of display function software, and the designing of integrated management function.Another important issue discussed in this dissertation is the design of communication web based on multi-fieldbus. This web forms a mixed-bus communication web with 1553B bus, MIC bus and CAN bus, which can have real-time monitoring on all the systems in armed cars. In order to increase the communication reliability of CAN bus in the military environment, this dissertation also introduces the design philosophy of double CAN bus redundancy operation, and proposes the scheme evaluation, hardware circuit designing, controller IP core designing, making of CAN communication protocol, and software programming of the double CAN bus redundancy operation based on the FPGA platform.Finally, characteristics of this system are summarized based on the actual result of the research and development of this system, and the future designing work is also prospected.
