The development of things greatly improved activities in the field of human production andlife.China is a large agricultural country, in particular, rice cultivation occupy a large proportionin agricultural production,rice diseases and insect pests of rice crops will cause a serious threat torice crops, pest control highlights its importance,The Internet of Things technology for ricegrowth monitoring has it’s far-reaching significance.In this paper, we use the embedded Internetof Things technology to establish a wireless network to a real-time monitoring of rice growthimages.The main works in this paper are fellows:(1) Designed the device of automatic to rush moths in rice field;(2) Studied static image frame encoding, proposed a improved compression algorithm forthe classic LZW compression algorithm and a hybrid algorithm which fit the needs of thisproject;(3) Studied several wireless communication like the short-range wireless communications,GSM, GPRS, and chosen one of them to be used in our system. This paper also gave the designof hardware and software system of the Internet of monitoring node.The test shows that the design of network real-time remote image monitoring based Thingscan success monitoring rice growth, The control node can successfully doing image collectionand transmission functions on rice growth, and the mixed lossless compression algorithmimplemented in this article can also be effective in reducing the amount of data networktransmission.
