Study On "a Bite Of China" Based On "5W" Theory

The documentary A Bite of China has attracted many audiences immediately when it was broadcast on CCTV. It consists of7sections and shows the methods of making delicious foods from7aspects, including materials, principle food, conversion, time, kitchenware, flavor and soil. Tinct of various kinds of foods is presented to audiences by HD thechnology, which completely demonstrates the virtue of diligence and kindness of Chinese people and profound Chinese culture. Macro vision about Chinese traditional culture as well as the relations between foods and people, among people, and also between human beings and nature, between people and society is interpreted through the detailed description of micro vision on Chinese delicious foods in different regions. Therefore unexpected reactions are achieved at home and abroad as soon as this documentary is represented on TV.A Bite of China does not become popular with the masses at one night, and the reasons would be analyzed in light of "5w" theory in this thesis, through which the subject, contents, channels, audiences and effect of communication would be analyzed in detail. This documentary is deputed to shoot, and thus study on the communication subject has a special meaning. Among the5parts, analysis of the contents is the core, through which profound spirits that hide behind the delicious foods would be revealed. Communication channels are the basis for analysis of audiences and effects. Four channels determine four groups of audiences, and also can brings great influence in every aspect. Five parts in this thesis forms a complete system, in which the reasons for attractiveness of A Bite of China could be explained clearly. In terms of each chapter, analysis both at theoretical level and practical level are given as the cases depend.
