With the continuous reduction of global resources, the research on the recycle of waste electrical and electronic products has attracted people’s attention. Due to the design of these products without considering its recycling, so the disassembly efficient is very low. For electrical and electronic products, such as liquid crystal display(LCD), due to its internal indium oxide, liquid crystal and other precious substances, the waste LCD has a high recycling value. In order to dismantle LCD efficiently and recover indium oxide, liquid crystal and other precious substances with high value, in this paper, structure design method of LCD panel frame for disassembly is studied.Firstly, through the consulting research to the LCD producers and a variety of LCD demolition experiments, the demolition order of LCD is studied. Through the disassembability analysis of LCD structure, the design methods of the LCD panel frame for disassembly are determined. The methods are as follows:(1) LCD panel frame is redesigned by using easy to disassemble structure.(2) LCD panel frame is redesigned by using the method of ADSM.Secondly, Artificial easy to disassemble structure is used as the connection structure of LCD panel frame. The connection structure morphology of LCD panel frame is designed by using TRIZ innovation rule. Mechanical analysis model of artificial easy to disassemble structure is established. Design principles of LCD frame artificial easy to disassemble structure are proposed. Artificial easy to disassemble structure is simulated by using finite element method and the optimal size of the easy to disassemble structure is determined. At last, the size, layout position and disassembly effect of LCD frame easy to disassemble structure are verified by experiment.Shape memory materials are used as active disassembly unit of LCD frame and LCD frame is redesigned by using the method of ADSM. Active disassembly design principles of LCD frame are proposed. Mechanical analysis model of active disassembly unit is established. The layout position of active disassembly unit in the frame is simulated by ABAQUS. Optimal size and layout position of active disassembly structure are determined. At last, the size, layout position and disassembly effect of LCD frame active disassembly structure are verified by experiment. A theoretical reference is provided for the design of LCD active disassembly structure and the dismantling of LCD with high efficiency and value.At last, the reliability of LCD active disassembly structure is studied by using reliability theory, such as FMEA, fault tree. The reliability of LCD frame artificial easy to disassemble structure is simulated by ABAQUS. At the same time, in order to solve the problem of heat and shock effect on smart material active disassembly structure, temperature change of LCD during work process is analyzed and collision is simulated by using the method of finite element analysis. Through above analysis, artificial easy to disassemble structure and active disassembly structure of LCD frame are able to meet the reliability requirements during their work process.
