With the development of computer technology, the limitations of processing power that the traditional two-dimensional GIS displays and spatial analyzes the three-dimensional geological entity is increasingly evident. The combination of3D modeling techniques and GIS has become one of the new trends of GIS,3D technology can represent the objective world intuitively and realistically, which makes GIS be able to display three-dimensional geospatial information. On the basis of the use of three-dimensional modeling techniques to achieve a visual display of the geological entity, a computer system that offers spatial analysis, professional application can be developed, which helps to study the formation and evolution of the geological entity, and provides an effective basis of geological disaster forecast, regional mineral survey and global change monitoring.Based on researching the existing three-dimensional modeling model and method, the paper overall designed the operating environment and overall architecture of three-dimensional geological environment information system, and organized and managed the data used by the system. The author took Luxi County for example, used TerraBuilder to build a three-dimensional scene and secondary development provided by TerraExpIorer to establish a three-dimensional geological environment information system. The system achieved the geological environment three-dimensional visualization, disaster point information query and editing, spatial analysis, spatial query, statistical functions, measurement functions, database management functions and other basic functions. The system could display the geological entity clearly, and provide users intuitively true3D experience, which facilitated data management and analysis. Meanwhile, the system provided the data updated interface, which made three-dimensional scene and attribute data can be updated efficiently. Spatial analysis and data processing system developed could meet the daily business needs of the user.The construction of three-dimensional geological environment information systems achieved the3D visualization displays of a geologic entity, which was of great significance for the study of the formation and evolution of the geological entity and improving intelligent information management of geological environment. |
