Qin Shihuang Terra-cotta Warriors is of great significance to our country,especially in terms of history and science and technology.Due to being long buried underground,Terra-cotta Warriors have started to decay.In order to get a complete digital Terra-cotta Warrior,we study the multi-angle 3D reconstruction of the Terra-cotta warriors and the repairing of the hole on the Terra-cotta Warriors.The contributions are summarized as follows:(1)3D reconstruction of Terra-cotta Warriors is the first step of digitizing Terra-cotta Warriors,in order to obtaining a more accurate 3D model,we study the solution of fundamental matrix based on simulated annealing algorithm.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves about 10 time higher accuracy compared with two state-of-art methods.This method can effectively improve the precision of 3D reconstruction.(2)Sine there are holes on Terra-cotta Warriors obtained through 3D reconstruction,the 3D point cloud hole repairing solution based on zoning is proposed.According to the characteristics of the terracotta warriors,the terracotta warriors is divided into two parts:the head and the trunk and the limbs,respectively,so as to get a better repair effect.(3)To effectively repair holes on body and limbs,a set of feature points suitable for dividing Terra-cotta Warriors body and limb are defined.Then body and limb are separated.The active shape model is applied to repair the holes on body and limbs at first.The results show that the reconstruction error of proposed algorithm is lower than two state-of-art methods.(4)Due to the particularity of the Terra-cotta Warriors head,repairing of hole in Terra-cotta Warrior head based on weighted active shape model is proposed.A set of feature points suitable for separating head model are defined.Then head is divided into parts on which the holes are repaired by proposed method.The experimental results show that the algorithm has a better repair result,especially,in the nose area,the error can be reduced by 17%compared with the current popular algorithm.Finally,the experiment proves that the proposed scheme can obtain the complete terracotta model.
