At present, the multi-viewpoints description method is applied in the C4ISR systemrequirements development universally, and the main research works are focused inrequirements description frameworks, requirements verification methods and so on,however, the bottom requirements data’s specification of syntax and semantics wasneglected. System stakeholders will develop the system requirements models withdifferent requirements description frameworks and modeling tools, which induces thedifficulty of requirements description’s understanding, comparison and integration. Theabsence of well-formed requirements data model specification and standard method ofrequirements development, leads to the low efficiency of requirements development andthe reusability and interoperation of requirements data, besides, which induces thedifficulty of comparison and integration between different tools,data resources.Aiming at the problems mentioned above, a new method named meta-model basedmethodology of C4ISR system requirements description modeling was proposed. Byanalyzing the actuality of application with multi-viewpoints description framework inC4ISR requirement development, the theoretical framework of C4ISR requirementsdevelopment method was advanced. Based on the well-formed modeling foundation ofinternational defense enterprise architecture specification (IDEAS), a new method forrequirement meta-model modeling was proposed. According to the analysis oncharacteristic of requirements domain, this method extended the IDEAS commonpatterns, and presented the foundational rules of requirements meta-model modeling.Based on the idea of model driven architecture (MDA), the primitives-patterns basedmapping specification was designed. In order to enhance the flexibility and evolution ofrequirements description, catering to different requirements purposes of different systemstakeholders, a new method of meta-model based representation was presented. Toverify the feasibility and efficiency of this method, based on the MUSREF framework,the requirements meta-model and the realization of requirements development wasdesigned.The research and achievements of this dissertation will enhance the foundations offurther studies of requirements description development technologies and realization ofhigh-quality requirements development for C4ISR system from both theoretical andpractical perspectives.
