As the largest social reading bearing mechanism and entity of disseminationcultural knowledge, library become the ideal place for people to read and learn for itsrich collection resources and constantly practice of personalized service. However withthe rapid development of computer technology and mobile technology, people’s readingstyle also have a revolutionary change, gradually from the traditional paper qualityresource moved to multimedia, internet and mobile reading. Mobile library is theextension of library service, and gradually become an important part of library service.This paper selected39"985University" libraries and31Provincial public librariesas research objects, through the network investigation and actual terminal access,mainly from the opening time, main service functions, service mode, promotionmethods and multiple aspects to objective evaluation. According to different mobilelibrary system developers, we choose National Library, Jiang Xi mobile library, ZheJiang mobile library as the user experience objects and evaluated by using subjectivemethods according to user experience effects.Research found that the current mobile library popularity rate is not high, only halflibraries opened mobile service. Readers awareness and utilization rate of mobile libraryis very low. Current mobile library service functions homogeneity serious, lack ofdiversity services, mainly concentrated in the Library query, Renew/Recall, Librarynotification service and such basic services, the library of mobile reading has not yetspread. Provided the resource is very limited, even those whom have opened the mobilereading service. Questionnaire survey found that users reading experience effect ispoorer, reading software and reading interface are not friendly. Mobile library OPACsearching effect is not ideal, more than40%of users does not find the resources theyneed, e-books, online reading and database retrieval are readers favorite services. Inuser experience overall satisfaction survey, most readers held a positive attitude tomobile library experience, and hope the mobile library combined with there work, studyand research, to provide more personalized, humanized service.Through the above research analysis, this paper emphatically starting from the fourdimensions, User, Resources, Services, and Management to build mobile library servicemode. The construction of the model should comply with following principles, that isthe publicity, commonweal, equivalence of service, sharing of resources as well as the development harmony and innovation of public mobile libraries. At the user’s level,emphasizes to understanding user’s real demand, the current demand of information tothe user presents the trend of diversification, specialization, integration. For the level ofresources, according to user requirements, reasonable arrangement of resources,establishing mobile resources screening and processing standards. At the service’s level,through the preliminary analysis research, we hold that a perfect mobile library serviceshould have the following functions: Mobile query, Mobile reading, Personal library,Reader’s guide, Information bulletin, Mobile reference service, SNS service, Booksrecommendation, Reader’s borrowing service, Location-based service, Individualizednotification service, Personalized custom service, etc. And continuous innovativeservices. And in management, libraries should constantly innovate the present OperationModel, adopting the SAAS model helps to save money and establishing a mobile libraryalliance helps to realize resources sharing, gradually realize change mobile reading tomobile learning, and reduce the digital divide. Model focus on the openness of themobile library, that is the objects of mobile library should be every individual society,based on meets user’s demand of information, expand the user’s personalized needs.
