On the basis of describing the basic idea of the Distributed Control System (DCS)and in view of the present general DCS microprocessor and the standardization of thecommunication network, this paper tries to form an integrated enterprise managementinformation system by selecting the demonstration in order to achieve the productionprocess control system with a variety of PC-PLC and large computer networking andcommunications.In this paper, the author put forward the imagination that we can use PC and PLCto realize distributed control (DCS) in metallurgy industry production process and putinto practice through the comparison of function changes between distributed controlsystem (DCS) environment control system software (or application) and the generalenvironment of the application program. So that makes it a reality that the operatorcan manage and adjust the automatic control process in the central control roomoperator station. For example in monitoring of the thermal equipment (the firingtunnel kiln) parameter and controlling of metallurgical production process in ceramicsand refractories industry, the PLC System and the DCS System performance differentcharacteristics in their application.It was difficult to achieve the desired purpose using the conventional controlmethod in the heating furnace temperature control system, improving the flexibilityand stability of traditional DCS system will realize optimizing real time monitoringand controlling of the measuring points of a few sets of production equipments inindustrial control field, thus enabling the DCS network control system to have higherstability, accuracy, and reliability. It plays an active role for improving the heatingefficiency of heating furnace and economic benefit of steel plant.
