AS with the rapid development of mechatronics technology, motion control asits core and key technologies is also developed vigorously. At present, althoughthere are some high-precision, multi-axis motion controller on the market, they allare too expensive.Aiming at reduce the cost of the automation equipment products in the market,this thesis study and provide a simple motion control system based on LM628. Asits simple structure, flexible operation, and can effectively control the cost ofvarious types of automation equipment, it can have a wide range of applications.The motion control system consists of two parts: the hardware and software. Forthese two parts, the main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, be familiar with the function of each part of the motion control chipLM628, and design the hardware architecture of the entire motion control system.The hardware can have these parts: a basic circuit of Atmega128, communicationcircuit of Atmega128and LM628, the interface circuit of the LM628and AD5445,bipolar voltage generating circuit, the drive circuit, as well as PC and theAtmega128communication circuit. According to the actual needs of the project,communication circuit can select RS-232communication circuits or RS-485communications circuit.Then develop the software system of the motion controller, the software systemcan be composed of upper and down equipment. The upper equipment is softwareon PC and to manage and monitor the status of motor while the down equipment issoftware on Atmega128and to control the running of motor. Relying on a unifiedcommunication protocol, the upper and down equipment can communication andthe command can be transmission and execution. Tuning PID parameters can beeasily as an embedding PID filter in LM628.At last, design a platform of this control system. Rely on curve display ofreal-time speed of the motor, tuning PID parameters of the system. After that, testre-orientation accuracy of the motion control experiment platform, and according tothe relevant experimental data, the re-orientation accuracy of the system is12μm.Therefore, the motion control system has practical value for automation equipment.
