With the progress of the technology, it is difficult for the traditional Motion Control System to satisfy the demands of the modem industry. Currently, it has been an important trend in the motion control field to develop the high-capability Motion Controller with the open structure.The bottom technology of the Motion Controller consists of realization of the bottom control program, realization of the bottom control algorithms and the whole structure and work theory of the hardware platform. Research and exploitation of the bottom technology is the key of the development of high-capability Motion Controller.Based on the technology of DSP and ISP, the paper has completely improved the bottom hardware structure of the Motion Controller and realized the bottom motion control unit and the peripheral process unit. The paper has built a high-capability hardware platform for the Motion Controller, which has expanded multi-function modules, such as ADC and DAC, and multi-communication interfaces, such as PCI, CAN, RS232 and RS485. Based on the hardware platform, the paper has completed the design and exploitation of the bottom control program and realized the motion control of the AC/DC servo motor and step motor. Moreover, the paper has also studied the familiar algorithms of the servo control and track programming. Stand Alone Motion Controller is a new production using the modern motion control technology. The paper has analyzed the hardware resource and completed the design and programming of the software system of the Stand Alone Motion Controller. It supplies the elements for the development of the Stand Alone Motion Controller.The paper firstly introduces the origin, research significance, related technical status and main contents of the task, and describes the system as a whole in detail, then discusses the hardware design, software design, and the algorithms design respectively. Finally, The paper brings forward the main contents of advanced research.
