The rapid spread of the network makes the people’s demand for network becomehigher, so people hope computer can partly handle with a mass of information and providepersonalized service. Semantic Web is an expanding on the current network to solve thisproblem. Ontology, as the basis of the Semantic Web, has played a crucial role in theconstruction of the Semantic Web. Actually, it is a clear formal description for sharedconceptual model. At present, ontology does not have a unified construction standard. Theontology is not the same Even if we model for the ontology of the same area due to thedifferent understanding. How to solve the coexistence of a variety of ontology on thenetwork becomes a hot research topic in the Semantic Web.Firstly, through studying and analyzing the current ontology and the ontologymapping model, as well as summing up the foundation of ontology and ontology mapping,I found that the versatility of the current ontology mapping is not good; the similaritycalculation is not comprehensive; and computation is intensive. Based on the analysis ofthe current algorithm, I proposed an OWL-based multi-strategy ontology mapping modelto the common ontology mapping problem. Concretely, by considering concept definition,concept properties, concept structure and concept instance affected the concept similarity;I discussed respectively the corresponding similarity calculation method.Secondly, the word similarity calculation is a very important problem on ontologymapping, the method we adopt is the combining of edit distance and WordNet basedsimilarity calculation. At the same time, giving a research to the WordNet similaritycalculation, I proposed a kind of improved word similarity calculation method based onthe information.Finally, by constructing two heterogeneous ontologies about tourism and consideringall kinds of possibilities as much as possible between concepts of ontology. The result ofthis method is good.
