This study is analyzing the reform of《Southern Metropolis Daily》in the newcentury,then summes up the characteristics presented by the reform of thenewspaper during this period.The study provides some references for the othermetropolitan media.The study is divided in five parts.The first part is about the analysis of the background,detailed explaining the purposeand significance of the reform which happens in the new century.The studysummarizes documents and literature material and puts forward the focus of thestudy and methods.The second part is about comprehensively combing the course ofthe reform.
