Offshore engineering equipment manufacturing industry is having entered astage of rapid development, because of the huge demand of offshore oil and gasresources and the development of Chinese shipbuilding industry. The development ofoffshore engineering field is supported by the offshore engineering standard. Thetraditional offshore engineering standard management mode is papery filemanagement. This management method is rough; it is very difficult to query theoffshore engineering standard. So this method isn’t able to satisfy the demand ofenterprises. In order to improve the efficiency of management of offshore engineeringstandards and make full use of the information technology, there is an urgent need toestablish a consummate offshore standard management system to support the worksthat manage the offshore engineering standard.In this paper, the following studies have been done:1. In this paper, the present status of offshore engineering standard managementhas been introduced. The importance of the offshore standard management has beenanalyzed. The application status of the domestic and international offshoreengineering standard management has been described. The requirement of design thesystem has been shown.2. In this paper, we have studied the PLM oriented application environmentintegration technology based on the requirement of the offshore engineering standardmanagement. The system has been analyzed by the technology of object-oriented andUnified Modeling Language. We have established the system structure based on themodel-view-controller. The offshore engineering standard management system isdivided into4function module: system management module, standard managementmodule, standard search module, user individuation module.3. The system uses the.net technology, based on MVC Framework, using theASP.NET MVC Framework and the ADO.NET Entity Framework and collaborativefiltering personalized recommendation technology design and development. Thesystem modeling has been realized by using UML tools. We completed the detailed design of the system modules and database structure. We have realized the PLMapplication environment oriented offshore engineering standard management system.4. In this paper, the system implementation section shows the main operationinterface of the system modules and the operation mode of each function. then weillustrated the integrated development and application mode of the system and othersystem based on PLM system, through the integrated application developmentexample of this system and CAD platform.The PLM oriented offshore engineering standard management system caneffective manage the offshore engineering standard; realize the offshore engineeringstandards in PLM environment integrated applications. This system has provided ahigh-efficiency information platform that can retrieve and make use of the offshoreengineering standard information.
