The Investigation And Application Of CAD/CAE/CAM In House Hold Compressor Research And Development

During the "Seventh Five-Year Plan of China"(1986-1990), both the Chinesehousehold compressor enterprises and the Chinese household compressor technologymade a great development under the background of importing the modern productionline and processing abroad. As the years passed, the foreign competitors already helda safe lead in compressor technology development and got ahead in the fiercecompetition by the continuous researching works and creative actives. However, theChinese enterprise, who was weak in R&D works, have to face the reality of lowproduct technology, fewer benefit, insufficient competitiveness in the worldwidemarket and even have to suffer the risk of shut down.With the aim of reversing the backward in technology and narrow down theproduct development gap between domestic enterprises and foreign compretitiors,after1990’s, the Chinese researchers gained plenty of fruits in product R&D works.However,"the leading domestic" and "the international advanced" achievementsdidn’t make any effort in turning back the passive situation.After a systematic analysis, the author found that beside the quantity ofachievements, fewer international technology exchanges, the lack experience inproduct developing works, the unskilled adoption of modern technique tools and afeint product development system are the roots which restrict the progress of domesticenterprise and domestic household compressor technology.In order to solve this issue, the author collected lots of technique information inpast decade and classified them by hot issue, achievements, future trend, and otheraspects. Then, the author stated the main solution to improve the current situation.On the other hand, the author completed some new products developmentprojects by using CAD/CAE/CAM tools. And the projects including: the applicationof CAD in components virtual design and product assembly, the FEM analysis andoptimization of discharge and suction system, the optimization of oil grove and theapplication of RP, CAM, FTIR, SEM and EDS in prototype and failure analysis.Moreover, the results indicated that it is an effective method to use these tools toimprove the competitive of domestic products.
