For the applications of Fibre Channel in avionics systems, the Fibre Channeldevelopment organization established the Fibre Channel Avionics Environment(FC-AE) draft and it contains FC-AE-1553protocol, which learns from thecommand/response communication of1553B, and has great performance of FibreChannel. The purpose of this thesis is to verify the performance of FC-AE-1553inavionics systems and offer a system-level verification and hardware-in-the-loopsimulation platform with related equipments by designing an FC-AE-1553simulation and verification system.First this thesis researched on the avionics systems of F-22and F-35, analyzedtheir advantages and disadvantages, and designed a kind of central-controlled,distributed-processing FC-AE-1553simulation and verification system based on thefunctions and data transmission requirements of different components of the system.Designed a mixed network topology which combines the point-to-point and switchfabric after comparing and analyzing three topologies of Fibre Channel.Abstracted and simplified the simulation system at the interface-level todetermine the types of simulation terminals, referenced the JAST plan to determinethe data transmission characteristics of the terminals; researched on the overallsimulation scheme and hardware design of all terminals. According to therequirements of FC-AE-1553protocol, designed the terminal’s fabric login, portlogin and process login SOPC software flow chart; designed the flow chart of theNC and NT processing software; designed a protocol conversion software of thebridge, completed the conversion between1553B words and FC-AE-1553framesand the transfer function over bridge; according to VPP specifications, plannedand designed the function tree of NC terminal driver, the upper-layer application cancall API functions in the function tree to control the NC terminal.Finally built an FC-AE-1553switched network system which consists of NCterminal, GPS receiver NT terminal, RT terminal and protocol bridge, the simulationprocess is controlled by the softpanel, experimental verification is performed inthree aspects: login, NC and NT data transmission and transfer over bridge.Experimental results show that the simulation terminals’ software and hardwaredesigns are reasonable and the verification system can complete the datacommunication in a switched network according to FC-AE-1553protocol.In this thesis, the design of the simulation and verification system usingcentralized control and distributed processing not only improves the data and signalprocessing capability and speed, but also ensures that the data transmission is controllable and certain; the mixed network topology which combines theadvantages of point-to-point topology and switch fabric has a certain degree ofscalability and flexibility. The research results of this thesis has some theoretical andpractical significance on the FC-AE-1553bus system-level applications and thedevelopment of related equipments.
