A Study And Establishment Of Mobile Library System Based On Mobile Internet Technology

With the development and application of mobile Internet technology, information services facetremendous opportunities and challenges. Mobile Internet is everywhere. It is the new direction ofdevelopment of the current worldwide information industry to provide users with efficient、convenient information service by mobile Internet. Mobile library system based on mobile Internet isto be built under this environment.The rise of mobile reading and the rapid development of mobile Internet technology are theresearch background of this subject. It is the driving force for this research that the information needsand the mobile Internet of the ubiquitous all the time. Library as an important unit of social, cultural,information dissemination, followed by the development of mobile Internet technology to expandservices in a timely manner to enhance the service experience.In this study, summary of research progress and application status of domestic and foreignmobile library found abroad, including many top authority institutes, including OCLC and PUBMEDinformation services have an important part of mobile services as information services. Its scope ofservices also expanded from the LAN to the Internet, the service covers the mobile terminal with avariety of functions. Domestic mobile library theory and practice of research later than abroad, but isdeveloping rapidly. By January2012, Libraries including the National Library, regional libraries,university libraries, libraries of research institutions and dozens of units in strong research hadprovided the implementation of mobile library services. At the same time, many IT companies areactively to join the mobile library technology research and development, including the mostrepresentative of the Beijing Sursen and Beijing Superstar. Although many libraries have beenapplications, the mobile library service is mostly limited to the SMS notification services andresources to reveal the service. Both services have narrowed the distance of the library with the user,but the services have not been able to shake of the physical library time and space constraints andcan’t truly reflect the value of the mobile library service. Only by establishing a truly independent of time and space constraints, to meet the user anytime, anywhere information needs of the mobilelibrary to achieve the Library ubiquitous services. First, this study analyzes the applicationenvironment of the mobile library, summarizes the information needs of the characteristics of users inthe mobile Internet environment, designs a set of messaging services, and resources to reveal services,mobile reading services, systems management according to the characteristics of user needs, which isthe major functions as one of the mobile library system. Secondly, system design features of thisstudy to determine the function of migration, hierarchical design route for technology research.Functional migration refers to the mobile library service functions of the mature function of themigration of digital libraries; hierarchical design means layered, user hierarchical service layeredcontent stratification. The overall system architecture is divided into five levels to the client layer,presentation layer, business layer, data access layer, data layer. System the target user for all users ofthe library, its segments can be divided into ordinary users and expert users. The ordinary user ofSMS notification service for different user has different tiered service model for mobile library. Themobile reading service provides SMS notification service for expert users, mobile reading services,and personalized service. Content levels of service are also differences. The ordinary user’s contentservices include subject such as science, humanities, geography, tourism-based. But the contentservices for expert users are major the professional academic literature.This research a comparative analysis and selection of available technology, including shortmessage services and resources to reveal the service in use is relatively mature and versatile method.The key technologies of the study focused on mobile read the service function of the aspect. Mobilereading service is currently restricting the bottleneck in the development of China’s mobile library.The main reason there are three. First, mobile library data source from the digital library, digitallibraries to electronic resources for mobile reading are often unauthorized access by IP addressbinding, but moved to read the terminal itself can’t be meet the cross-boundary fixed IP access.Second, the kinds of mobile reading terminals are complex, diverse systems, screen sizes. Third,electronic resources can be copied, network spread characteristics, and copyright protection formobile reading content is relatively complex.After comparative analysis of the relevant technology and pre-research to determine thecombination of mobile service providers and library automation systems build messaging service subsystem; to build resources to reveal the subsystem through a Wireless Application Protocol(WAP);the use of mobile middleware technology electronic resources mobile reading function; systemmanagement subsystem, the introduction of Digital Rights Management(DRM) technology forcopyright protection of digital resources.The mobile Internet applications contain three elements: the mobile terminal, mobile Internet,information systems. The emergence and development of the mobile library and mobile terminals,mobile Internet, digital library development are inseparable. The digital library is the basis ofapplication of the mobile library. The mobile library service must be established on the basis ofdigital libraries, and digital libraries are the source of the contents of the mobile library service, thesource of the service. Lacking of content of the digital library electronic resources, literature,reference consulting system support, the mobile library has become a castle in the air. The mobileInternet is the application environment of the mobile library.2.5G and3G mobile Internet has beenfully able to meet the application requirements of mobile libraries of text, pictures, sound, videotransmission. The mobile terminal is a mobile library service. Smart mobile devices, Smartphoneoperating system has set the global positioning system (GPS), high resolution imaging, gravity sensor,multi-touch technology in a better presentation of the multi-function application of the MobileLibrary. The technological development of any one factor in the above three factors on thedevelopment of the mobile library have a ripple effect, so the technical integration of the mobilelibrary system must maintain a "weak coupling" relations to the functional expansion and technologyupdates.The system uses a relatively mature technology to achieve the functionality of the system designand function of the effective integration, innovation is mainly embodied in the System Developmentand construction of this study, selected from the technical to the subsystem integration have opted forthe "weak coupling"approach. This mobile library application of new technologies and function ofthe depth of the excavation has left a huge space for development, to improve the system scalability.With the continuous development of mobile Internet technology, smart mobile terminalcapabilities continue to improve, based on ubiquitous computing, context-aware, intelligent judgment,natural practicality interactive information service model will be the main development direction inthe future Ubiquitous Library.
