In the world today, with the rapid development of various high-tech, information and related technology is changing people’s lives and playing an increasingly important role in modern life, and the effect in the military field is also can not be ignored. Mankind is entering the information age. as the new technological revolution, a new revolution in military affairs has been occurred, information superiority has replaced the firepower advantage, and become the primary goal of the opposing sides, then a new war theory and the war form is becoming nearer-information warfare. This information-technology-dominated military revolution was not to the people’s will,which changed the traditional type of battle, transformed the development path of weapons and equipment, reformed the structure of combat effectiveness, changed the relationship between military establishment and the combat element, promote the military construction required to meet the information warfare direction mandatory.In order to adapt to the new revolution in military affairs, implement the superior’s guidelines of strengthening the information construction, improve the level of informatization and acquire dominant position in the war,we should begin with the key points and difficult problems which hinder the development of information system in engineering military, combined with our knowledge and based an reality and our own terms. Forces must be combined with colleges; theory research must be combined with technology research; learning research results of others must be combined with doing research by ourselves. The acquisition, transmission, switching, processing of information is the central link of the information construction. The purpose of this dissertation is to establish an system of engineer automation commanding.This system comprises functions of command and control, reconnaissance, precision positioning, remote monitoring, wireless transmission, and data processing. Command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance are integrated into this system firstly in the whole army corps of engineers, and this system is also widely used in training, learning and disaster relief. The performance of its tactical and its technical index has reached advanced level within the domestic military.When engineers carry out all kinds of combat tasks, this system can make them help all levels of commanders and soldiers to quickly and accurately access, transmit and process battlefield information in various states. Under the conditions of field operations, this system can also assist engineering corps force to achieve the digitization, automatization and integration of acquisition information, command and control, decision evaluation, and business processes. It is an essential means for the engineering to reach the command autoimmunization. This system is fundamentally enhance operational response capability, mobility and collaboration capabilities of the forces.Further,it is conducive to make better use of existing engineering equipment, and improve the overall operational efficiency of the engineering in the modern high-tech warfare,so to better meet the future war.
