With the economic globalizing, the training of high-quality talents has become an urgent task for our country education departments. The traditional education isn’t suitable for the needs of the development of current society completely. Therefore the primary and secondary schools takes many reforms of the basic education. These reforms comprehensively promote education quality in order to cultivate more high-quality talents in recent years. In the quality education reform process, many educators realize that the inquiry teaching is very important. Many educators introduce some major reform measures such as the mathematics, physics and biology course in secondary Education and bring the inquiry teaching into the curriculum standards. The inquiry teaching of middle school is still in the active exploration stage even though many grassroots middle school teachers realize that applying the inquiry teaching is very important. Therefore it makes good sense in theory and applications to deeply researching inquiry teaching of middle school from the society or the education angle.The high school physics inquiry experimental teaching is researched in this thesis. The current situations of the inquiry teaching is summarized and the necessary of develop inquiry teaching is proposed in this thesis. We sum up the relative inquiry teaching theory, analyze the implement conditions of the high school phisycs inquiry teaching and deeply research the design and specific implement of the high school physics inquiry teaching.The main studying contents in this thesis are as follows.(1)At first the urgent need and important significance carrying out and researching the inquiry experiment teaching in high school are introduced in this thesis. At the same time, the current research situations of inquiry teaching at home or abroad are analyzed.(2)Secondly, the definitions and the basic connotations of inquiry teaching and inquiry experimental teaching are given. Then the relative psychological and pedagogical theory basis is introduced. Some fundamental principles designing the inquiry experimental teaching are given and the object of the inquiry teaching is presented in the thesis.(3)Thirdly, we provide the basic procedure and general steps of the inquiry experimental teaching implement. Then we focus on the three inquiry teaching methods:inquirying demonstrative experiments, inquiry ing grouping experiments and the inquiry experiment project research. We develop the concepts and roles of this three inquiry experiment teaching methods, propose some examples for this three inquiry experiment teaching methods and show the design, implement methods and some problems needing to notice in practice teaching. We give some examples for these three inquiry experiment teaching methods. We give the methods transforming the confirmation and admeasurements physics experimental teaching into inquiring experimental teaching and we propose the steps giving the students more chances to exploration experiments.(4)The contrast experiments between the inquiry teaching mode and traditional teaching mode are carried out in this thesis. The test class and the contrasting class are respectively adopted the inquiring teaching mode and the traditional teaching mode. After half a year testing, the other teaching conditions are similar to the two classes and we analyze the two teaching modes’different effect and why the difference generates. The feasibility of applying the inquiry teaching in high school physics are fully verified based on the interview and survey. And it shows that the inquiry teaching mode can promote the students’ self-directed learning abilities and develop the innovative consciousness of the students.
