General education focuses on the college entrance examinations, while vocational education focuses on skills competition. Skills competition is a very important platform to show the level of all kinds of abilities, such as the schools’management, the teachers’ability and students’ skill training. Rural vocational school is a very important part of vocational education, and is the main position to the implementation of vocational school. So vocational schools’taking an active part in skills competition has undoubtedly considerable practical and realistic significance to the teachers, students, and especially to the development of vocational schools.The subject of this paper mainly analyzes the skills competition’s influence to the development of rural vocational schools through studying the vocational education centre of County A, and also puts forward the expectations to the skills competition.The full text is divided into six parts:Chapter one:Intoduction.This part mainly includes the significance of choosing the subject. First, the background and significance of the research is expounded. Then I the situations of current rural skills competition, the research ideas and conceptual framework are elaborated. At last, the core concept of this paper is defined.Chapter two:This part is mainly about the current situations, and the significance and necessity of carrying out skills competitions.Chapter three:The process of rural vocational schools’ organizing skills competition activities and analysis about it.Chapter four: Skills competition’s influence on rural vocational schools. This chapter mainly discusses the influences on rural vocational schools’education and teaching, students’ development, the construction and operation of training bases, and schools’evaluation and management.Chapter five:This part mainly discusses how to organize to take part in the skills competition and the problems that should be paid attention to in the process of participating.Reflection and prospection: As the paper’s conclusion, expectations of all parts of vocational education are put forward and the importance and necessity of the research is summarized.
