In the process of popularization of higher education in China,higher vocational education plays an important role.Since the popularization of higher education,the employment of college graduates has entered the market model.Under this environment,the employment of vocational students is facing great challenge.One of the main reasons behind the employment is the lack of employability.As a major system design and reform of vocational education in China,Vocational Skills Competition is helpful to improve the employability of higher vocational students.Based on the theory of Competency Theory and Game Theory,this paper uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview and case analysis.First,through the empirical investigation,explore the relationship between the vocational skills competition and the employability of the vocational students.Using SPSS software analyze data,the correlation coefficient of vocational competence,general ability,psychological quality and employability is obtained as follows: 0.464,0.465,0.501,Indicating that the vocational ability,general ability,psychological quality and employment ability was moderately related.Secondly,on the basis of empirical research,through the interview method to further analyze the experience and problems in the Vocational Skills Competition.The main experience is: the three stages of the competition on the impact of the ability to have a different focus,“lead” pre-competition training is conducive to inheritance experience,the school funding provide rear protection for the students and teachers,outreach training is conducive to make up for school Lack of training.At the same time,there are some problems in the vocational skills competition: there are some utilitarian tendencies in the vocational skills competition,there are some contradictions in the competition and daily teaching activities,the comprehensive quality of the students is to be improved,the common ones are the students lack of independence and innovation.Finally,on the basis of the above empirical analysis and impact analysis,the following strategies are put forward: avoid the utilitarian tendency,return to the competition to establish the original intention;skills competition feedback teaching,improve the quality of higher vocational education;with vocational skills competition opportunities deepen school-enterprise cooperation;vocational skills competition as the carrier,promote innovation and entrepreneurship education in vocational colleges;employ-ability-oriented and improve the comprehensive quality of vocational students.
