The teaching of classroom discussion has a long history, which requires communications and debates between teacher and students and among students in order to fulfill teaching objectives. And its teaching concepts agrees perfectly with the educational policy of student-center as well as the learning manners of autonomy, cooperation and inquiry.With the reform of the New Curriculum, it has been attached new contents and meanings, which is supported by many educators and they have investigated it from different perspectives, thus achieving greatly. With the advancement of the New Curriculum, classroom discussion has been widely applied in the Ideological and Political Courses in Senior High School. And theoretically, it tries to solve questions of textbooks through interaction between teacher and students, and among students. During this process, they can fulfill stages of understanding, acquiring, exploring and innovating views of ideology and politics through discussion and exploration, thus realizing teaching aims. However, this teaching method does not attain the expected teaching effect in teaching process, which is attributed to such reasons by many scholars as loose organization of teachers, weak cooperation among students, unfocused contents in classroom discussions. Through observation, the thesis points out that the failure of expected teaching effect in classroom discussion is due to the poor understanding of class to great extent, namely teachers focus on more forms of class than principles of it, and more precisely, they pay less attention to the integration of basic knowledge of textbooks into current society, students’social life and real thoughts during teaching.Theory with practice is to analyze reality with theory and prove theory with reality, which will make students understand and master knowledge, training students’abilities of solving practical problems.Theory with practice is the basic principle for the teaching of Ideological and Political Courses in Senior High School. With its properly used, good teaching effect will be ensured for the classroom discussion in ideological and political courses. Therefore, this thesis chooses theory with practice, the important principle for classroom discussion in the teaching of Ideological and Political Courses in Senior High School, as the subject of investigation, and adopts such methods as questionnaires, literature analysis, classroom observation and so on. Firstly, it analyzes related theories of classroom discussion and theory with practice, laying a foundation for theory. Secondly, it focuses on the current situation of implementing the principle of theory with practice in classroom discussion in the Ideological and Political Courses. Finally, with the analysis and discussion above, it puts forwards some measures of implementing the principle of theory with practice in classroom diccucsion in the Ideological and Poliucal Couises.And the main contents of the thesis are as the following:The first part is the introduction. It mainly discusses the significance of the research and explains related research situation at home and abroad. And it also presents designs and approaches of the research.The second part, from the discussion connotation of the high school ideological and political class, the teaching connotation of the theory with practice, the teaching key link and requirements of the theory with practice in the teachers and students interaction discussion, the teaching basic stage of the theory with practice in the teachers and students interaction discussion, the significance of the theory with practice in the class discussion, from those five aspects we do the theoretical analysis on the theory with practice principle in the high school ideological and political class discussion.The third part, mainly through questionnaires method, taking account of interviews method and observation method, summarize the actual status of the theory with practice in the high school ideological and political class discussion. Point out that the discussion topic selection is not scientific in the present high school ideological and political class discussion, the discussion material is short of reasonable processing and choice, the discussion process is short of reasonable guidance and regulation, the theory with practice in the discussion process is superficial and vulgarization, the theory with practice in the discussion process exists " rationalism ""only practical theory" tendencies and the discussion result was not timely summarized and evaluated etc..The fourth part, discuss the topics from the scientific setting, fully prepare the theory, reasonably choose and process the materials, choose the appropriate discussion method, effectively guide the discussion process and finish the discussion to summarize scientifically and reasonably etc. six aspects. Discuss the method carrying out the principle of the theory with practice in the high school ideological and political class discussion teaching.The fifth part is the concluding. It points out the great significance of the principle of theory with practice in classroom discussion. And it also mentions the limits and disadvantages of this research, which needs further studying and suggestions of experts, scholars and teachers.
