| The Curriculum Reform of Elementary Education (for Trial Implementation)2001emphasized that curriculum reforms should "Pay attention to the students’interest", the National Medium-and Long-Term Plan for Education Reform and Development for2010-2020explicitly put forward "to develop the students’interest and hobbies", the Compulsory Education Chemistry Curriculum Standard (2011Edition) directed reference to stimulate, strengthen, or develop students’interest in studying chemistry at least nine places. Psychologists believed that interest can sustain the enthusiasm of the students, that driven students to explore a particular knowledge in the field, the resulting knowledge would in turn and inspire more interest, round and round, to sum up that the driving force of interest is to motivate students to learn.I had taught at a rural junior school in Enshi, Hubei Province, according to the observation of the teaching period, each of the next ninth-grade semester, a small percentage interested in chemistry learning. In accordance with the requirements of the balanced development of education aspirations, it was of great urgency to improve chemistry learning interest and raise the standards of education in rural areas in Enshi. In this paper with the premise of teaching practice, interest in learning theory and research for the guide, and through the literature review, interviews survey, and questionnaire method, with the final analysis conclusion that the status of chemistry learning interest of junior school students in the rural areas in Enshi, and analysis of reasons that affected their chemistry learning interest and proposed the strategies of how to raise the interest in chemistry learning of junior school students in rural areas from the point view of students’expectations. Contents of the paper and important conclusions were as follows:1Introduction. First the study expounded the reasons and significances; the core concepts of interest, learning interest, chemical learning interest were clearly defined; then on the basis of the relevant existing research and theories, further more the specific directions of this research are identified, and pointed out the content of the studies and the research methods of used.2Research process. The research methods mainly include questionnaire survey. Early in the questionnaire establishment? first interviewed more than one rural junior school chemistry teachers and graduates, and combined with the study of chemistry learning interest questionnaire, finally authorized a questionnaire of chemistry learning interest of junior school students in rural areas, which was divided into four volumes, oriented the rural junior school chemistry teachers, graduates, and ninth-grader and eighth-grader respectively. The effective questionnaire recovered:volume18teachers, volume450graduates, volume166ninth-grader and216eighth-grader. After recovered and consolidated the questionnaire would entry to website unified (http://www.wenjuan.com), from the website that downloaded the data results and the required pictures, then combined with Excel spreadsheet for analysis.3Chemistry learning interest of junior school students in rural areas of the present situation and the reasons of self-examination. This part mainly analysis for the topics in the questionnaire of junior school students’subjective judgment or self-analysis, results displayed:(1) the rural junior school students’chemical learning interest stability in Enshi were generally without very enthusiastic, on chemical "Began to interested, not interested in later" of more;(2) they mainly interested in chemical experiments, chemical and life, but rarely interested in the contents such as terms of using, chemical calculation, atomic structure, and solubility.et al;(3) Both teachers and students consistency thought that students on chemical interest were most mainly reason of "interesting chemical experiment",(4) the students thought that they were not interested in chemistry because the contents were too "difficult and boring, but teachers thought that the main reason was that the students always with "bad study habits".4Analysis of factors that affect the chemistry learning interest of junior school students in rural areas. In this part we mainly researched the relationships between current situation of junior school students’interest in chemistry and other topics, and related to analyze factors that affect their chemistry learning interest. Results indicated that students themselves, chemical teachers, discipline contents and learning environment were the factors of chemical learning interest on students that had different degree of effects, the effects obvious were:(1) students’chemical grades, the study habits including chemical homework, questioned attitude, resolving attitude, and the learning emotions including academic motivation, achievability frequency, handling failure attitude;(2) training style, teaching spirit, individual solicitude and relational affections;(3) if subject contents with interesting, serviceable and advantage of textbook;(4) the learning environments mainly including parents that at home or not, literacy levels or learning needs and the class learning atmosphere. This study focused on some above conducive contents that cultivated the students’chemistry learning interest.5Strategic analysis of developing chemistry learning interest of junior school students in rural areas. This section from both aspects that the directly roles of teachers themselves and the improves of teaching environment which were analyzed in the questionnaires about "like" or "hope", so the subjects for search strategies that can cultivate the chemistry learning interest of junior school students in the rural areas in Enshi. On this basis, the article clearly proposed the10strategies for chemistry teachers, namely:proceed advanced guide, landscape first impressions, optimize experimental teaching, contact reality life, arrange elaborate homework, optimize selected exercises, adjust reviewable forms, develop extracurricular activities, abundant extensive methods and improve personal charm.6Summary and reflection. This section provided the research to summarize the entire process and reflect on the deficiencies, with a view by studying and working in the future to perfect. This study was carried out on basis of practice and investigation, it had a strong reference value on cultivating the students’interest in learning chemistry for rural junior school teachers, also would provide a reference for the similar school teachers. |
