College Freshmen Three Research Questions

With policies of expanded enrollments of higher education field, more and more students full of promises and expectations come into the holy universities and start a brand-new expedition. But series of adaptation problems have become universal for most of freshmen. It is an urgent task for private-owned universities to do whatever they can to help freshmen how to make transitions of academic work, psychology, life and so on from former periods and make sure they can adapt themselves to the university life as soon as possible. Social work for school as a social work especially for freshmen should enhance students’ ability to adapt them to the university life.This thesis’s test subjects come from freshmen of2013grade, XX department. It analyzes conditions of freshmen’s adaptation and makes needs evaluation. It utilizes methods and ethics of social work to intervene freshmen’s adaptation problems via projects to solve problems existed in the class. Also it uses comprehensive teamwork theory and practice methodology, such as advantageous perspective, social support theory, concepts and recognition theory and so on to explore freshmen’s potential adaptation ability. This paper is aimed at the exploration of the social service pattern in the subjects’groups, making compensations with ideological and political education, promoting the research of social work’s localization, further expanding its theory as well as practice and finally promoting university students’well being from all sides.
