Chinese classical poetry is the most valuable treasure among Chinese traditional literature.It is the essence of Chinese language and reflects the great intelligence of Chinese ethnic peoples.It plays an important part in the Chinese course and has special function. However, theteaching of the Chinese classical poetry is worrisome. Many teachers emphasize that studentsshould recite more and more poetries in order to pass the exam. Otherwise, the education ofChinese classical poetry is no effective and spends more time in classroom activities. Theseteaching methods dismember the text of Chinese classical poetry and separate itself from the text.The value of Chinese classical poetry, such as spreads splendid knowledge of traditional culture,transmits significative thought, promotes students’ moral sentiment, is ineffective.The analysis of text is the key to improve the teaching level and overcome the deviation ofthe teaching of Chinese classical poetry. This paper mainly illustrate the structural factors of thetext of Chinese classical poetry. They are image, emotion, implication and language. The paperhas five parts:The current situation of the teaching of Chinese classical poetry including some problems issorted out in the first part of the paper. In addition, the function of Chinese classical poetry isalso reviewed in this part.In the second part, connotation of the image as well as its feature, classification would beintroduced in detail. Also, the way how to analyze the image would be recommended.The third part discusses the lyrical nature of Chinese classical poetry. Moreover,characteristic of Chinese classical poetry’s emotion and how to realize the abundant emotion areelaborated in this part.In the fourth part, similarly, the connotation of Chinese classical poetry’s implication, itsstructural factors, peculiarity and methods to comprehend are stated.The fifth part analyzes the property of Chinese classical poetry’s language including the keywords, rhetoric, language style, and so on.The introduction of image, emotion, implication and language is the main part of the paper.Every part has some specific teaching methods to help teachers and students have a good comprehension of Chinese classical poetry.
