| Urbanization is an inevitable part of a country’s economic growth andmodernization in the development process. Since the1990s, in China, citiesoffer far more employment opportunities than the local resident populationneed, which leads to the influx of a large number of rural surplus laborers tocities and forms a huge flood of migrant workers.Along with the expanding size of the floating population in China, inrecent years, its structure is also undergoing significant change. One of themost important changes is the trend of population movement of the familyas a unit. One of the direct results of such structural changes is a largenumber of school-aged children migrating into the city with the family,which has become an increasingly large group of people in the city.With the development of the city, the number of floating population isincreasing year by year in Baotou. The education problem of migrantchildren has become increasingly prominent. Compared with private schools,public schools can provide better faculty, educational quality, facilities andeducational environment. The urban public schools absorb a large number ofmigrant children. Usually, these students are enrolled in two forms, one isentering in midterm, and the other is forming a separate class. All of thesebrought many difficulties to public school’s teaching management.Based on research experience and achievements both domestic andabroad in this field, and take the Seventh Middle School of Baotou as anexample, this study deeply and systematically analyze learning adaptabilityof migrant children in public junior middle school, and try to explore theeffectiveness and feasibility of increasing the level of migrant children’slearning adaptability in aspects of mental health education, family educationand classroom permeation, and then to explore ways and means ofimproving the learning adaptability of migrant children, and promote thehealthy development of the ability of their learning adaptability.
